The up-and-coming artist bleulilbaby claims that her first hit, “Pride,” is a reflection of a life lesson. “Because of the environment in which I was raised, I wasn’t the best at expressing my emotions, and it was something that manifested itself quite a bit in the relationships I had throughout my life. I have a lot of love to give, but I’ve never wanted to put myself in a position where I feel too exposed. I never imagined that I could be this content. Always had the feeling that something bad was about to happen,” the artist signed to Mass Appeal Records explained to VIBE.

Following in the footsteps of Lauren London, who recently shared a message that quickly went viral about removing ego from romantic relationships, bleulilbaby expressed agreement with the ideas. “There is no room for ego when it comes to truly loving another person and being loved in return. A quote attributed to Sade states that “love is stronger than pride.” Therefore, regardless of how we feel, genuine and profound love is not contingent on any particular circumstances. I cherish every aspect of who I am, and as a unit, we continue to develop, improve, and fortify ourselves. “The only way that it will actually work is if you are willing to be vulnerable,” she revealed.
