Video: Summer Walker – Ex For A Reason ft. JT From City Girls

While we wait for Summer Walker’s eagerly awaited sophomore album, Still Over It, the music video for the track “Ex For A Reason,” the album’s lead single, is available.

The film, which was directed by Lacey Duke, is described as a mixture of “bubbly and intoxicating scenes.” Before going to the strip club and a party, Walker and her group of recognizable faces are seen sprinting through the streets of Atlanta in a convertible during pre-game.

The 20-song tracklist and three songs—”Bitter,” “Ex for a Reason,” and “Ciara’s Prayer”—with narration by Ciara, another Atlanta singer-songwriter, were just made public by the musician. Each track on Summer’s second album is accompanied by a date from August 2019 to October 2021, indicating that it will unfold like a narrative.

The singer also established an Instagram account called Summer’s Hard Drive and had a fun and engaging album release. The account has more than 120,000 followers and “the album of the year relies on me” is said in its bio. In order to physically obtain Still Over It before its release on November 5, fans were given the chore of cracking a seemingly indestructible box with the hard drive inside at several New York City locales on Monday (Oct. 18). It seems like one fan may have been successful.
