Kenyon Dixon – Lucky
Coming on the last part of his job as melodic chief for Revolt’s latest episodes of The Link Up, Kenyon Dixon follows that series of wins with his new ditty, “Lucky.” We can’t argue with the singer’s declaration on Instagram that this is “an ode to the magic of the Black Woman.”
On the opening, he praises the world’s melancholy women: He mocks what many people are already thinking, saying, “Brown sugar, caramel/Chocolate, pretty self/My shea butter, cinnamon/Work of art, perfect 10,” “But then again, that ain’t news/Take my money, only you.”
After the success of 2022’s Closer, you can expect more from the Los Angeles native, and this is just a small sample of what to expect.
