Video: Ripp Flamez – Forever (Intro)

In his most recent music video for “Forever,” up-and-coming rapper Ripp Flamez tries to assert his authority over Cleveland, Ohio, his birthplace. Ripp presents a gritty music video for the opening track of his most recent mixtape, titled DayOne Forever. The movie was taken late at night in the desolate streets that surround his neighborhood. Ripp, accompanied by his sons, walks about his neighborhood as strong bursts of light emanating from the tops of multiple police cars illuminate each and every intersection.

Ripp commented on the video by saying, “This video is significant because in my hometown of Cleveland, you can’t hang outside like that,” which was included in an email regarding the video. “Back in the day, you might have been able to hang, but these days, you need to get out of the way. The video captures me and my crew acting naturally and being who we are. We engage in idle conversation and enjoy the closeness of our company. When we are together, we put away our phones and try to focus on the here and now, rather than surfing the web or talking on the phone. These individuals are some of my closest pals. This is simply the way that we are.”

Ripp’s ability to remain consistent with his somber kind of rap-infused melodies is demonstrated exceptionally effectively by the song “Forever.” This video is the follow-up to the clips that he has already made for notable songs by DayOne Forever, such as “LeBron Flamez” and “Shine Light.”
