Video: Lil Yachty Ft J Cole – THE SECRET RECIPE

Lil Yachty has enlisted the help of one of Hip-Hop’s most in-demand emcees for his most recent music video. J. Cole jumps in with another brilliantly handled guest verse on his just released “THE SECRET RECIPE.” track, extending his ongoing infamous streak of great features.

The uncomplicated film, which was directed by Lil Boat and AMD, is set at one of the former’s most recent tour stops, and it has the rappers trading verses from within an empty theatre. Yachty raps, “Allegedly, they figured out that I’m the secret recipe/ The baddest h**s gon’ test the E, then blame the high for wantin’ sex/ I never wanted peace, f**k all the opps, I support Malcolm X.” over a track that has a lot of percussion.

Cole then enters with a stunning stanza in which he acknowledges his revered position in the Hip-Hop game. His lyrics flow along the lines of, “Thanks to God, I made it out of the city, most would say I’m blessed/ My greatest flex is that I made a million, feel like I’m Bangladesh/ I despise the press, refusin’ interviews whenever they request/ N***as fake-progressive and woke, I started sayin’ less.
