Video: Doechii – Pacer

The needle has continuously been moved by Doechii’s graphics, and her most recent single “Pacer” is no different. The Top Dawg Entertainment signee gave a sneak peek of the song earlier this year while performing at Coachella.

The “What’s Your Name?” rapper is brought into a sinister basement laboratory where she is prodded and poked with wires, needles, and other objects in the opening sequence of the Nikko Lamere-directed video. After a while, the adrenaline rush frees her from confinement, and she takes charge of the entire operation.

“I’m a rockstar, I’m on God’s timing/ Need a rockstar, handle my type/ N***as want the s**t, bring the clique, throw a f**kin’ fit/ Open up the pit, let it rip, he a f**kin’ b**ch,” the 25-year-old talent shouts over the booming instrumental.
