Big Freedia Ft. Lil Wayne & Boyfriend – El Niño

Big Freedia, the queen of bounce music, has released her brand-new single “El Nino,” which features Boyfriend and Lil Wayne. Freedia performed at Wayne’s Weezyana Festival in 2015, marking a true full-circle moment, and she is currently working on wax with another NOLA legend.

“‘El Nino‘ is about fighting through any storms that come your way and winning!” According to a press release, Big Freedia. One of my favorites from this record, it features Boyfriend, who I’ve worked with for a long time, and it’s my first time working with Lil Wayne, who I’ve wanted to collaborate with for a long time.

“We put it down for our city, and this song is going to blow everyone away!”

The single, which is from her upcoming album Central City, features Freedia, Weezy, and Boyfriend lyrically overcoming obstacles and storms.

The fourth single from Big Freedia’s upcoming second studio album, “El Nino,” will be available for purchase on June 23. The 16-track LP, which was made by her own imprint Queen Diva (ADA Worldwide), features songs by Faith Evans, Ciara, Kelly Price, Kamaiyah, Sonyae, and The Soul Rebels. Freedia’s collaborations with Beyoncé, Drake, and others are also well-known.

Big Freedia will tour this summer in addition to releasing a major album. The Central City trek will start off in Brooklyn, NY on June 23 preceding finishing up late in August in Columbus, Ohio.
