Kenny Mason is winning. The latest EP in the Atlanta rapper’s series that is based on numbers, 6, is a follow-up to his previous effort, 3.

On “Darkside,” an opening salvo in which Mason invites listeners to his realm, where heavy artillery and survival strategies are required, electric guitar riffs and menacing keys are layered on top of 808s.

The 28-year-old rapper raps, “I keep it concealed in the function/ Ready for nonsense/ I done had con friends since a young kid/ I seen a nun sin,” over production by Coupe and Poison Thorn, who also contribute to “I GOT,” a plodding selection that is sure to have you chanting along by the hook’s end.

This nine-track offering is worth exploring for the songs “Dracula,” “100 or Nun,” and the Project Pat-aided “Stack It Up.”
