Drake and Young Thug have released the video for their most recent song together, “Oh U Went.” But in the video, which was directed by Garfield Larmond and Nick Manterola, Drizzy held it down for the YSL rapper while Thug is in jail. Since Young Thug is presently imprisoned pending his YSL RICO trial, he is conspicuously absent from the video, which instead focuses on members of the Atlanta community.
In the video, there are scenes of Black women beaming in the sun, Black males driving through the neighbourhood in a Rolls Royce, and Black children playing outside. While hanging out with his southern extended family in North Memphis and sporting specific family t-shirts, Drizzy also takes the video there.
Lyrically, the Business Is Business highlight has Thug and Drizzy trading bars over Metro Boomin’s music while sprinkling a sample of The Stylistics’ 1981 song “Closer Than Close.”
Thugga may be heard rhyming about his lowly beginnings in Atlanta as he worked his way up to rap success in the song’s opening verse. The Canadian hitmaker utilized his verse to rap a couple lines on his position as the top rapper and his unwavering desire to keep it.
