Video: Gallant – Skipping Stones ft. Jhené Aiko

Gallant is back with some sultry new videos for his chart-topping single “Skipping Stones,” which also features Jhene Aiko. The song is taken from his successful album from 2016, titled Ology.

The AmericanMillennial film concentrates on employing one-shot throughout the visuals, which gives it a distinct perspective and brilliantly caught the voice of both artists. The AmericanMillennial film was directed by AmericanMillennial.

“I’m really into the one shot notion as a whole. Even in the style that I write, I truly enjoy immersing myself in the moment, as Gallant said regarding the unsteady narrative of the film. “Delving into all of the underlying meanings that are carried by that particular moment. I was thinking that this specific scene would just very naturally, in a very subtle and intricate way, kind of just show exactly all of the hot feelings that are coming through musically in the song from both sides, and so I came up with the idea.

The great R&B crooners teamed for the first time with some assistance from Red Bull Sound Select. They have only performed the single live together twice: once at SXSW in March and once at Coachella in April. A performance by the Twenty88 artist is slated to take place at Avalon on November 21 as part of the 2016 Red Bull Sound Select Presents: 30 Days in LA event.

The young musician, who is only 24 years old, is presently headlining his debut tour and just recently performed his smash hit song “Weight in Gold” alongside the legendary Elton John at the Apple Music Festival. Fans will have the option to witness the Ology musician perform live here on Red Bull TV during his time at the Austin City Limits Music Festival, which takes place the following weekend (Sept. 30).
