Video: Dreamville – Down Bad ft. J.I.D, Bas, J. Cole, EarthGang, Young Nudy

One of the albums that best represents 2019 in terms of its lyrical depth is Revenge of the Dreamers III by Dreamville. “Down Bad,” which features J. Cole, J. I. D., Bas, EarthGang, and Young Nudy, is one of the several tracks that shines brightest on ROTD III.

The fresh new music videos to the fast-paced headbanger were released today (October 22), as announced by J. Cole’s team. As Cole, Nudy, J.I.D., Bas, and the rest of EarthGang cruise around the streets of Atlanta, vibrant visuals accompany them. The well-known Peach Street exit and the sign that welcomes travellers to East Atlanta are both visible to viewers. East Atlanta is home to a number of notable musicians, including Gucci Mane, 6lack, and Nudy, as well as EarthGang, among others. Additionally, there is unedited film of the Dreamville team riding about on a tour bus.

After a quick verse from up-and-coming rapper Nudy, it’s ATL’s J.I.D. who delivers the goods with his blend of witty wordplay and adult subject matter.

Although it was announced in July that a deluxe edition of ROTD3 will be published with new tracks, there has been no movement towards the realisation of this plan as of yet. Both the first and second parts of Revenge of the Dreamers were made available to the public in 2014 and 2015, respectively. A video for the song “Under the Sun” featuring DaBaby, J. Cole, and Lute was released by Dreamville one month ago.
