Video: Kamaiyah – Build You Up

There is no better way to perk you up and get you in a good mood than to listen to music from the 1990s. We owe it all to Kamaiyah since she was able to transport us back in time with the music video for “Build You Up,” which was greatly influenced by that era.

The music video for “Ill Yaya” is all about maintaining a happy attitude while having a good time with good company and featuring vivid colours. The Oakland native has stated on her Twitter account that the music video is a tribute to the female group TLC. T-Boz, a member of the illustrious group, has expressed her satisfaction with both the song and the video.

The track “Don’t Ever Get It Twisted,” which is going to be the recent XXL Freshman’s debut studio album and will be released in the near future, includes a sample of Tony! Toni! Toné!’s “Feels Good.” Nothing could be more reminiscent of the past than this.
