In the music video for her latest single, “Just A Stranger,” which features Steve Lacy, Kali Uchis leads a group of beach babes on a swashbuckling journey aboard a pirate ship.
The video was produced by BRTHR and was shot in a tropical setting. It portrays Uchis as a money-hungry vixen. The effectiveness of the paper is highlighted throughout the engaging film.
This peppy bop has a catchy chorus that is dominated by the vocals of The Internet’s bandmate Steve Lacy. The chorus goes as follows: “She wants my hundred dollar bills/She don’t want love/She wants my hundred dollar bills/She don’t want love/She wants my hundred dollar bills/She doesn’t want love/She wants my hundred.”
The majority of the action takes place on a beach, but the additional levels of amination form a story that is compelling and has the potential to draw in an audience.
The artist, who is only 24 years old, released “Just A Stranger” as the fourth studio single taken from her Isolation album, which was released in April of 2018. Additionally, this marks the second time that Uchis and Lacy have worked together on a project. The first track is titled “Only Girl” and it features Vince Staples.
The Colombian-American singer and songwriter has been on top of her game ever since she broke through to the mainstream music scene, and she has just recently started the closing portion of her very first headlining tour.
