Video: George Maple – Sticks And Horses ft. GoldLink

After taking a year off, George Maple comes back with a seductive music video for the track “Sticks and Horses,” on which she collaborated with GoldLink.

As Maple sings of a dark history, the video moves between pink, orange, and red colours. Inspired by Maple’s own experiences and difficulties with money, greed, and power in the music industry, the dark and twisted video shows a black widow on a mission to exact revenge from everyone who has wronged her. While the video does show what happens when you cross the singer, she also successfully incorporates sex appeal components.

“I wanted the music to sound more aggressive in the video. I wanted it to have a cinematic, intrusive, but also slightly humorous sense. My interest in sex, money, power, and greed has grown recently. I arrived to this conclusion through a mix of observations and my own experience, she told i-D.
