A video for the song “Hello” was published by fellow Brooklynite Fivio Foreign on May 11th, carrying on the tradition of romantic drill music established by Pop Smoke. The single released by B.I.B.L.E. has guest vocals from KayCyy as well as Chloe Bailey, who is now just referred to as Chloe.
In the song video, Fivio hosts the Parkwood protege in a usual drill environment, complete with dice games and exotic whips. However, for the sensuous slow jam, Fivio tones down his intensity and adopts a more relaxed tone. The song “Hello” follows a structure that is comparable to that of another for-the-ladies hit by B.I.B.L.E. called “What’s My Name,” which features Queen Naija and Coi Leray.
It is intriguing that the music video for “Hello” came out before the music video for “What’s My Name.” Despite the fact that the latter song borrows a recognized sample from Destiny’s Child’s “Say My Name,” it has charted higher and has received more exposure on the radio. The former song includes the song’s greatest star, but the latter song has been more successful overall.
In any event, Fivio is riding high on the momentum of a fruitful 2021 and is currently in the midst of putting the finishing touches on yet another spectacular year. This past summer, in August, his Donda collaboration with Kanye West, “Off the Grid,” reached its highest position on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 11. In April of 2022, it was revealed that he will be performing at Hot 97’s Summer Jam. This came after the release of his debut album, B.I.B.L.E., which debuted in the top 10 of the Billboard 200.
