Chloe’s long-awaited first solo single, “Have Mercy,” has finally been released after many months of anticipation and tease.
A lady is seen holding a newspaper with the face of another man crossed out as the riveting three-minute visual begins with a narrator explaining how a 21-year-old man went missing while simultaneously showing a woman holding the newspaper. When this happens, we see Chloe standing on the roof of her sorority home, calling her devoted followers and kicking off an epic whodunit.
The preview that the 23-year-old released earlier this week was unable to adequately convey the cinematic magnificence that was bestowed upon us at the stroke of midnight on Friday (September 10). From the opening news report to the cut shots of her drawing in her prey to her déjà vu-inducing dance to even kissing the statue, we see traces of her mentor, Beyoncé, all throughout this visual. The minor nuances range from the initial news report to the cut shots of her seducing in her prey.
